North Korea has opened two major bridges connecting it to key trading partners in the last month, with the latest — a bridge link to China — inaugurated Thursday after a more than decade-long delay.

A new bridge linking China and North Korea will finally open tomorrow, 12 years after its construction, with China vowing it will spur trade and "enhance the well-being of the two peoples".

The four-lane, 3-kilometre (1.8-mile) crossing will link the north-eastern Chinese city of Dandong with the North Korean city of Sinuiju.
